She and Fortune share an ancestor but somewhere along the line the alien species split. I'm calling the ancestor species Carina Euphorium Aquila, and Bhumi would be Carina Euphorium.
These always have black & white hair, be it gradient or highlights, depending on genetics (think the blood type chart you learned to guesstimate the future childs' blood).
Each family has 5 children. How? Females have 5 eggs only, so at most they can have 5 children. You can tell what number egg each person is by eye color (red, orange, yellow, green, blue).
It is possible to have twins, the eye color goes by whoever pops out first.
It is possible to have a miscarriage, but the eye color does not go to the next. Say a first time mother miscarries, her next pregnancy should it survive will not have red eyes, but orange, because it is her 2nd egg.
Now you're wondering why does Bhumi have "rainbow" eyes? Her parents had 5 successful pregnancies. The 5th being unexpected twins. Bhumi is an extra child.
This is uncommon, and usually that extra is casted out by their society. Bhumi's parents did just enough to raise her, but once she was old enough to live on her own... you get the idea.
The dark tan skin and small pointed ears are the same traits as Fortunes, however the body types differ, as these are smaller in height and not as lean.
Bhumi is a happy girl, calm and reasonable. Typical Deredere I think.
Anyone want to pick how many brothers/sisters she has? If so I might draw them one day just for the sake of "hey they exist!", but they don't exactly acknowledge her so...

I can safely say Bhumi and Mika are my personal faves. Gypsy was top til the whole hermaphrodite thing >w>
